Completed in 2018, during a key phase in the artist’s technical development, this work reflects both precision and emotional depth. It captures a calm yet powerful moment on a journey of inner ascent. At its core lies the complexity of the underwater world – shifting light, shadow play, and the illusion of depth in constant motion.
The Only Way Is Up offers a strong visual and emotional metaphor: no matter how deep one may feel, there is always a path toward light, breath, and renewal.
