About the artist
Isabel Silla (also known as IsabellaDelSol) is a contemporary abstract artist whose work explores emotion through texture, movement, and sun-warmed tones. Her paintings are rooted in an intuitive relationship with color and form, developed over years of independent practice.
Working primarily with acrylics and textured mediums, she creates layered compositions using palette knife techniques. Her style is defined by earthy tones, depth, and subtle gold accents, often inspired by nature, transformation, and internal states.
Although her background is non-academic, Isabel has built her practice through sustained experimentation across multiple mediums, eventually transitioning from figurative oil painting into abstraction. This evolution reflects a deliberate shift toward expressive, story-driven work.
Alongside her artistic practice, Isabel has a background in business finance, which supports a structured and intentional approach to her work.
Art Projects & Exhibitions
Isabel has also created custom mural pieces for restaurants in Tallinn. A notable project includes The Frogs mural at Kompressor Pub in Tallinn’s Old Town, completed during her high school years. Discover the paintings and read more about the artist’s transitions in the Gallery.
Isabel has showcased her paintings in four solo exhibitions:
The Latin Collection (2018, Restaurant Argentiina)
The Aqua Collection (2019, Restaurant Lusikas)
The Spring Collection (2020, Dereku Burger)
Entre Mundos (2025, Toro Wine Bar) – a reflective exhibition exploring her transition from realism to abstraction.
Her exhibitions reflect her evolution as a contemporary abstract artist, capturing both technical foundation and emotional vision. Behind-the-scenes insights from exhibitions and other art-related events are occasionally shared on the Blog.
Beyond painting, Isabel also works with photography, videography (including drone footage), photo editing, website design, and social media marketing. These modern tools add a contemporary edge to how her art is shared and experienced. If You’d like to collaborate or inquire about a project, feel free to get in touch.
