Del Mar

Del Mar captures the serene yet powerful embrace of the ocean – a place where movement and stillness coexist in a delicate, meditative dance. The composition invites the viewer to drift into a dreamlike state, much like the lone figure floating in an expanse of turquoise waters. Soft blush strokes shimmer like sunlight on the surface, while gold-lined textures suggest treasures hidden beneath the waves.

Description

Del Mar captures the serene yet powerful embrace of the ocean – a place where movement and stillness coexist in a delicate, meditative dance. The composition invites the viewer to drift into a dreamlike state, much like the lone figure floating in an expanse of turquoise waters. Soft blush strokes shimmer like sunlight on the surface, while gold-lined textures suggest treasures hidden beneath the waves.

Created with layered acrylics and tactile, sculptural detailing, this work offers a sense of calm immersion. The surrounding circular forms, reminiscent of air bubbles or coral structures, add dimension and rhythm – echoing the organic beauty of the sea. Painted during a period of exploration into abstraction, Del Mar reflects both emotional surrender and sensory richness.

This piece is a tribute to letting go, floating weightlessly, and becoming one with the rhythm of the sea. Perfect for those who find solace in the ocean, the freedom of fluidity, and the art of simply being.
