About the artist

Isabel Silla (also known as IsabellaDelSol) is a contemporary abstract artist. Her work blends deep emotion, natural textures, and the warmth of sun-kissed tones. Her artistic journey began at a young age when an intuitive connection to colors and shapes first emerged. This passion has since evolved into a lifelong creative calling.

Though she hasn’t pursued a formal academic path in art, Isabel developed her skills through years of dedicated experimentation. Her academic background lies in business finance, with a bachelor’s degree complementing her artistic career by giving her a strategic foundation for building a sustainable art practice. Over the years, Isabel explored a wide range of mediums – including glass and silk painting, pastels, oils, and charcoal. She originally worked in photorealism and surrealism using oil paints.

Today, as a contemporary abstract artist, Isabel focuses on textured abstraction. Her current body of work combines acrylics and texture paste, often applied with palette knife techniques. This shift allowed her to move away from strict visual accuracy toward expressive, story-driven abstraction. Her signature style features layered, earthy, and gold-accented compositions. These pieces draw inspiration from nature, transformation, and inner movement.

Art Projects & Exhibitions

Isabel has also created custom mural pieces for restaurants in Tallinn. A notable project includes The Frogs mural at Kompressor Pub in Tallinn’s Old Town, completed during her high school years. Discover the paintings and read more about the artist’s transitions in the Gallery.

Isabel has showcased her paintings in four solo exhibitions:

  • The Latin Collection (2018, Restaurant Argentiina)

  • The Aqua Collection (2019, Restaurant Lusikas)

  • The Spring Collection (2020, Dereku Burger)

  • Entre Mundos (2025, Toro Wine Bar) – a reflective exhibition exploring her transition from realism to abstraction.

Her exhibitions reflect her evolution as a contemporary abstract artist, capturing both technical foundation and emotional vision. Behind-the-scenes insights from exhibitions and other art-related events are occasionally shared on the Blog.

Beyond painting, Isabel also works with photography, videography (including drone footage), photo editing, website design, and social media marketing. These modern tools add an immersive, contemporary edge to how her art is shared and experienced. If You’d like to collaborate or inquire about a project, feel free to get in touch.

Each of Isabel’s paintings invites viewers into a meditative, sensory world – a space where emotion, movement, and materiality meet. If you’d like to stay connected and see new pieces before they’re released, join the Collectors’ Circle.
